LookStat Beta – What to Expect
Posted on November 1st, 2008 in Uncategorized | No Comments »
As a LookStat beta user, you can expect the service to be one that is useful from day one but that has some rough edges. You can also expect us to be eager to get your feedback and to respond quickly when you contact us with any questions or comments. You can also expect us to make improvements and add functionality weekly.
Casey and I decided to release LookStat as quickly as possible to the microstock contributor community to make sure we could get feedback from beta users as early as possible. We are both big believers that releasing early and often with user feedback is the best way to build a product that meets the needs of microstock contributors.
Currently, LookStat tracks Dreamstime & Shutterstock earnings and allows you to view your transaction history from the start of your microstock career to the present day in a selection of time slices. In addition to charting your sales, we also show you the top earning images over the time period in question.
Our plan is to add both more sites and also more ways of analyzing the data. Even with its current scope though, it’s fun to see which images were responsible for most of the revenue last week, this month, ever etc. I’ll be writing more about where we’re going and about metrics in the near future.
As always, feedback from beta users and from the community at large is crucial and we would love to hear opinions about which sites we need to support and what metrics are most useful to you.
